Kakrebihar (Surkhet), May 12: Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has urged one and all to support establish a socialist republic.
Addressing the first convention of Young Communist League Karnali Province Committee at Birendranagar on Monday, Chair Dahal shared that the CPN (Maoist Centre) is in the campaign of socialism and announced to accelerate the campaign.
He blamed the government of trying to discriminate, insult and cause injustice to the people of Karnali province by removing ‘Karnali Prosperous Programme’ from its policies and programmes for coming fiscal year.
Also the former Prime Minister, Chair Dahal mentioned that they carried out activities to boost reputation and prestige of Nepal and Nepali people in international arena during leadership of Maoist Centre in government.
He argued that the CPN (Maoist Centre) has always given priority for the prosperity of the province as Karnali is the historic centre of Nepali revolution.
Stating that his party is in favour of constitution amendment, he pointed out the need of amending constitution to ensure inclusive representation of Dalit, women, Madhesi, Tharu, Muslims and indigenous nationalities. “We want a form of governance with directly elected executive head. The existing electoral system is costly and anti-people. It has not represented the people”, added Chair Dahal.
A total of 718 representatives of wards of 10 districts of Karnali Province are participating in the two-day conference.
